Privacy policy
Fanous Studio collects only what it needs to answer you and to do the work you ask for. It never sells your information, and it never adds you to a mailing list without asking.
Who we are
Fanous Studio is the business name of Rimon Fanous, ABN 92 311 509 104, based in Melbourne, Victoria. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Fanous Studio. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- When you contact us: your name, business, email, phone, website, suburb or service area, and whatever you write in your message.
- When you book a call: your name, email, the time you choose and any notes you add.
- When you become a client: billing details, the contacts we deal with, and the access you give us to your website, Google and other accounts so we can do the work.
- When you visit the site: nothing beyond the standard server logs our host keeps for security, such as IP address and the pages requested. This site uses no advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
To reply to you, prepare for and hold a discovery call, quote, deliver and invoice the work, keep records the law requires, and improve this website. We contact you about other things only if you agree.
Who we share it with
We use these services to run the business (some only once client work begins): website hosting and forms (Netlify), scheduling (Calendly), email (Google Workspace), payments and direct debit (Stripe), electronic signing of agreements (BoldSign), client reporting dashboards (AgencyAnalytics), and a password manager for our own logins. These services may store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We share only what each service needs to do its job. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we never pass it to anyone else for marketing.
AI tools
We use AI tools, including Claude by Anthropic, to help with research, drafting and analysis. Everything is checked by a person before it is used or sent. We keep personal information out of these tools wherever we can, never put sensitive information into them, and only use tools that do not train on what we enter.
Client accounts and data
Your website, Google Business Profile, Search Console, analytics and store accounts stay in your name. We never ask for your passwords: you add us as a user through each platform’s own settings, we use that access only for the work you have asked for, and you can remove it at any time. We keep a record of every access you grant. When our work ends, we hand everything back and remove our access.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not go further are deleted within twelve months. Client records are kept for as long as the law requires, at least five years for tax records, then deleted.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. Email rimon@fanous.com.au and we will reply within five business days.
Concerns
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first at rimon@fanous.com.au and we will acknowledge it within one business day and respond within thirty days at the latest. If you are still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
